If you don't want to follow rules of this forum, take your posts somewhere else. I've heard about these places called Twitter, Reddit and 4chan where apparently any idiot can post whatever they want.

 

Its already bad that memes, gifs, jokes and other status update material is thrown around of general discussion areas.

It's probably for the best. 

 

A local music forum I was on 10 years ago had a dedicated spam section, and since it had gazillion posts it would get cleared regularly due to resource hogging, and even then people would complain why their posts were deleted. You will literally never please everyone. 

The ability to google properly is a skill of its own.

I don't know if the forum would be as much fun if I was a mod, being a mod takes a lot of work and responsibility even though it doesn't usually seem like that.

Indeed. I am a mod on another forum and it is not fun at all. Constantly needing to check spam queries and watch over everybody using the forum.
