Have you checked the volume of your speakers and the program that's open?

The headphones are pluged in the back of the motherboard.

And can i change other volume settings then the basic mixer settings?

Thanks!

if they are USB headphones they will need drivers most of the time. Install the drives first

And I presume you plugged your headphones into the correct headphone jack correct? Sometimes you can run into headphone jacks that are not volume adjustable.

Might want to turn down the speakers on the volume knob or pull the plug if it's still too loud.

Please keep it to one thread. I merged your original with the second one you created.
