I have a good quality PSU seasonic G650

so a little spike when the electricity come back is not a proplem here

I'm just asking about a power loss sudden power outage

can it cause damage ?

Understood. No not to the components you listed, loss of power on its own can cause hard drive damage, and data loss of course, but never damage components like GPU, CPU or motherboard on its own.

However, because power surges often follow complete power loss, a surge protector is recommended, even with a Seasonic powersupply (which is my fav brand btw, good choice)

can a sudden power loss damage the motherboard CPU GPU or the entire pc ?

When the power is interrupted and comes back on again, it can cause a surge, or spike in amount of electricity that flows back into the house. Another common cause is when lightning strikes around the ground or electric poles.

Pretty sure unless you have a cheap ass power supply you should be fine. At my house we used to have power issues all the time, power cutting off to my pc way too frequently, but it never caused any pc trouble.

Unless you have raid 0 drives you should be fine.

Nope. but if your drives are in the middle of a write operation while they are stopped, they can lose the files they are writing. so some minor data loss is possible.

worst case scenario, your Operating System gets corrupted because the drive was writing some critical file when power went out (maybe during an update or something)

This is the reason I bought a UPS to maintain enough power to properly close down the computer, don't wanna get a corrupted OS or a failed harddrive and lose stuff. Not to mention it's a real pain forgetting to save something, then a power outage come and a lot of hard work is gone... of course you should save often, but sometimes we humans still forget.

Asus X99-A w/ BIOS 3402 | Intel i7 5820k OC @4.4GHz 1.28V w/ Noctua NH-U14S | 16GB Corsair Vengeance DDR4 OC @2666MHz 12-14-14-28 | Asus Geforce GTX970 STRIX OC | EVGA 750 G2 750W | Samsung 850 Evo 1 TB | Windows 10 64-bit | Be-Quiet Silent Base 800 w/ Silent Wings | 2x Dell U2414H OC @72Hz w/ Display Port

Don't forget to invest in an Intel Tuning Plan if you're going to overvolt your K/X CPU
