I have a i7 6700k and its a quad core. I like having and using it but it is not great for some games like watchdogs 2. I want to upgrade my CPU so then I can get better fps and stuff but THERE IS NO z170 NEW CHIPS AND IT TRIGGERS ME. Is there gonna be any 6 and up core cpu's?

How exactly is it not enough? How can you tell a 5820K-6800K will lend you better frames, that is, without overclocking and cpu lottery tickets for everyone?

Joker productions did a watchdogs video on watchdogs and had a 1080 and had better frames because he has a 6 core pcu.

You have a hyperthreaded processor. So really, you have more than 4 logical cores.

I highly, highly doubt you need more cores.

The 6700k is one of the best CPUs on the market rn for gaming thanks to its great single core performance. Going to a 6800k or something like probably won't improve fps at all, it might even lower it. Do you also have a gtx1080?

Nvm didnt see you had 1080 it must be watch dogs optimization.

Watch dogs 2 should run at least 60fps at 1080p on a 1080 what are you worrying about

My life

You have the best gear for gaming afaik. Getting anything else will probably just lower your fps. The only upgrade that I can recommend is to get a 7700k when it comes out but that is also a 4 core with just higher speeds. You could also wait for AMD Zen to come and see if they introduce better CPUs than Intel does for gaming. Just out of curiosity, how many fps are you getting right now in Watchdogs?

I think ubisoft has to get the optimization patch out sooner then later..

Here's a little tip, Ubisoft doesn't give two shits about pc gamers. Iy their eyes, we're all pirates. Very few of their games are actually properly optimized. Hell, far cry is the only major franchise I can think of from them that doesn't run like absolute ass

My rig:
CPU: i5 4690k 24/7 @4.4ghz (1.165v) Max 4.7ghz (1.325v) COOLER: NZXT Kraken X61 MOBO: Asus Z97-A   RAM: 16GB Crucial Ballistix Tactical   GPU: EVGA GTX 970 SSC   PSU: EVGA GS 650W   CASE: NZXT Phantom 530 HDD: WD Caviar Blue 1TB + WD Black 2TB
