Just to be sure, why specifically the 1050ti?

Have you considered possible alternatives?

So i'm planning to get a GTX 1050 TI this holiday season and i was wondering what are the best manufacturers to get the card from? MSI?

it honestly doesn't matter. if you're looking to overclock look for one with a beefy cooler and a high base and boost clock.

usually I'd go with the cheapest one at that point. Base and boost clocks wouldn't give you that much performance for your dollar. Others would say different but most cards don't matter at that point. Hopefully you'll have enough fans to keep your rig cool at that point haha.

yeah i did and after reading several articles the best alternative is the 1050ti for the budget that i have right now/performance

If you can go EVGA, get that. If you can't get whatever is the cheapest.

The RX 470 is better and I'd strongly recommend saving up for that.

Judge a product on its own merits AND the company that made it.

be aware that there are models of 1050ti that only use PCIe bus power and the higher end models that have an additional 6 pin power connector to give you some extra power to overclock if you desire, these models should also give you better out of teh box performance.

If you are buying a card to upgrade a low end PC/PSU that is power limited make sure you check that you are choosing a bus powered card first before buying, or alternatively the extra power cards for the best out of box performance

When i was looking for a GPU it was way over my budget but now the only RX 470 i can find is the one from XFX with 256bit bus. And from what i heard from friends AMD GPU's have problems most of the time with black screens and so on

I prefer nVidia however if your budget is limited you should really consider AMD since it usually offers better performance for cheaper in this middle range, either ways I think the Zotac GeForce GTX 1050Ti OC Edition 4GB GDDR5 is the nicest model for the 1050.

Nope. Most people have no issues with AMD graphics cards.
