45nm i7-920 PC to Xeon

Can I install a 32nm chip or do i need to look for all 45nm chips?

Which xeon is in question? Does it use the same socket as the i7?

They should all work fine.

Most likely the board will need a bios update. It needs a BIOS which is compatible with xeon processor. But I could be wrong. Maybe ask a moderator to help in answer this question since they know a lot more

all 1366 dont matter the size 45nm or 32nm?

Yeah, It depends on the board whether it will work or if you need to update bios or add microcode. But it doesn't matter whether it's 32nm or 45nm.

what board do you have? THe 920 was one of the older 1366 cpu's

I don't know what the previous owner was running in my Sabertooth X58, but I put a 32 nm X5680 in with no issues or flashes.
