Has anyone tried these two GPU's? I think getting a cheap RX 480 is a bad thing I could get an MSI gaming but If I do that I would barely have any space for games etc. So I'm trying to go cheap on my rx 480 have any of you guys tried this and how is it?

XFX is one of the better AMD manufacturers. The only downside would be the noise, due to the reference blower coolers.

Best RX 480 would probably be XFX GTR Black version, but those should be fine too if you don't mind the noise. The one on the left is a bit better.

I just did a copious amount of research on the RX 480 before buying one over the Black Friday weekend, and here's what I've found:

- the XFX GTR Black Edition is widely seen as the best card (best cooling solution, least power usage) but the fans can be loud at full load

- the MSI Gaming X is the quietest card

- the Sapphire cards have had some issues (Sapphire is usually the best or among the best on the AMD side)

I ultimately went with the MSI Gaming X 4GB because low noise is important to me.  I chose the 4GB over the 8GB because benchmarks have shown that in the majority of games, 4GB vs 8GB make no difference, even in crossfire.  The card really isn't powerful enough to need 8GB.  The only thing that holds the 4GB back just a little bit is the lower clocked VRAM, but I'm counting on making up a good chunk - and hopefully all - of that difference with a memory overclock.

Wow, 1495?  That's an impressive overclock.  Is that on water?  What's your vCore?  Also I'm assuming that's the 8GB?

Glad to hear you're not having any problems.  I've come across more posts than I'd like re: issues, so I decided to stay away.

Wow, you hit the silicon lottery.  Even Jayz2cents' GTR Black Edition wouldn't go above 1475 IIRC, and +350 on the VRAM is nuts.  I'll be happy if I can get my 4GB to 1400/2000.  Itching to tinker/benchmark, but card doesn't arrive until Monday/Tuesday!

Yeah, I wasn't even planning on upgrading (was going to wait and see what Vega had in store) but I got it at a good price plus Civ VI bundled in for free so I couldn't resist :P

I do think 4GB makes the most sense for the RX 480 though.  The 8GB card adds to cost and power consumption/cost - not worth it IMO.  Even the Crossfire benchmarks I've seen at 1440p and 4K don't indicate much if any benefit in most titles.
