Nvidia: EVGA, MSI, ASUS, Zotac, PNY/Palit, Gigabyte in that order from first to last choice

AMD: MSI, XFX, ASUS, Sapphire in that order (no reference or PowerColor)

 

EDIT: Forgot XFX. PowerColor is not included because some (not all) of their cards are shit (Red Devil I'm looking at you). Sapphire cards are really loud. 

This info is for current Pascal and Polaris GPUS, 300-series Radeon coolers are irrelevant.

Why is Asus ranked before Sapphire? Their 300 series coolers were the worst of the bunch and Sapphire has much better customer support overall... Also, what's wrong with Powercolor?

XFX and PowerColor should be on the recommended list, Gigabyte should be next to the reference card

It should be more like: Sapphire, MSI, XFX, (maybe powercolor), Asus/gigabyte, (maybe powercolor is here) :)
