If you wanted to do strictly editing one could throw in an i7/Xeon.  but if you want to game it'd have to slow down the editing CPU.

For the Best builds and Price lists here is a world where many points of the price have been predefined already for your convenience!

The Xeon E3 1231 V3 IS BETTER Than the Core i5 4690K and a Significantly better value for the non-overclockers or value shoppers.

The OS is like a kind food, Try it before saying if you like it or don't.

I had hoped for a desired choice, going for editing Xeon right now.

Xeons are the same as their i5/i7 counterparts other than ECC ram support and 1-2 other features. the e3 123x Vx are i7s with ECC support and will be much better at video editing than an i5 due to the extra threads.

would break the budget, or have to cut down on the gpu and ssd. and haswell offers only alittle performance upgrade over skylake for the price premium so i decided against it.

The key difference between this and the pretty good one above by herman is that mine sacrifices GPU and RAM in favor of Cooling, 8 times more storage though slower, and more emphasis on overall quality.  I just wanted to go ATX.

I think you might be able to get along with a slower GPU

just wonder if there is heavy load in cpu will that be no difference because they hall have 4 physic core(xeon and i5) ,and if all the core are in 100 % usage that mean the threads did not do a lot, and usually i5 have better clock speed.

he doesn't need the heatsink, and btw i also had a 1tb hdd in there. the seasonic psu is good enough quality and the core 1100 is a pretty good budget fractal case for the money.

just one more thought if you are doing video editing you may need more space, a 1 min  uncompressed  4k video can take 32gb of space, a 100 mins will be 3200gb

I know that, hyperthreading is try to optimize the best performance in one physic core, but if cpu are in the heavy load will that be the same result because the physic core are in the 100% load
