I guess it'd depend on what part of the industry. Closest rival would likely be MSI all-around.

I would say MSI and Gigabyte as they are the only other companies that I know that make laptops as well on the side.

I depends what in. They have a range of different products from GPU's to Tablets. It would be difficult to list all competitors as they are in a lot of markets.

In what area specifically? ASUS manufactures a lot of things... GPUs, motherboards, monitors, laptops etc.

 

All round... I'd probably guess MSI.

Let's see, Asus makes:

 

- Motherboards

- Laptops

- Tablets 

- Phones

- Aftermarket graphics cards

 

Each area has different competing companies; I'd guess for phones and laptops it'd be Apple, and for the rest you just have to find out who sells the most of each product. I'm sure this information is out there somewhere.

I want to say MSI, but that leaves out phones and tablets.

Msi, both are from the same country as well iirc.

They do have them. But they're not as involved as asus is.

If you include peripherals (laptops, keyboards, headphones, monitors), it has no single rival.

I'd say LG or Samsung. Maybe Sony. In PC hardware Corsair and MSI. Maybe Kingston too. But for whole tech industry it must be either Samsung or LG.
