This is only 1/3 of what you need. You still need a SIM card and a m.2 LTE card.

In theory, yes. But I would double check with your service provider. I know that not all will allow it.

Not that I've ever used it, but...

Isnt it simpler to just buy a USB LTE modem by then ?

I mean, the m.2 you linked seems only 4g anyway.

they make usb cellular modems that have features such as.. a case, built in antenna's, probably an included usb extension.

on that note.. it might be worth just checking your ISP's website, because in some regions mobile data packages have quite a few strings attached.

Not to mention USB adapters typically have worse reception and may not support advanced features to get the better speeds.

So it really depends if you are aiming for "absolute bare minimum" or trying for "the best reception and speed I can get".  The latter can get pricey, especially if you want 5G, as you really want to be going for a high-end mobile router rather than dongles.

ASUS B650E-F GAMING WIFI + R7 7800X3D + 2x Corsair Vengeance 32GB DDR5-6000 CL30-36-36-76  + ASUS RTX 4090 TUF Gaming OC

Router:  Intel N100 (pfSense) Backup: GL.iNet GL-X3000/ Spitz AX Switches: Netgear MS510TXUP, MS510TXPP, GS110EMX
WiFi6: Zyxel NWA210AX (1.7Gbit peak at 160Mhz) WiFi5: Ubiquiti NanoHD OpenWRT (~500Mbit at 80Mhz)
ISPs: Zen Full Fibre 900 (~930Mbit down, 115Mbit up) + Three 5G (~1200Mbit down, 115Mbit up, variable)

I just switch from T Mobile. My guess is they will try to sell you home internet instead. Because they do offer home internet.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.
