I believe they are based in HK but ship to Australia, bought a few games from them in the past, no issues.

Damn that sucks about the warranty man, I generally stick to Mwave, PCCG and MSY if I can.

B+H is fine, but warrenty is more of an issue as they dont offer it themselves (I dont believe they do at least), you need to use the manufacturer's warranty. Are you sure the pins were bent on arrival? If so, I pretty sure they would legally have to cover you with warranty, at least here in AU. You could also attempt to bend the pins back for a quick fix.

I think the issue with the warranty was that this was a birthday present and I opned (to find the bent pine) after the 30 day warranty period, I did try to bend them back but it was doo difficult almost 1/3 of the pins were bent, it was a lost cause.

Refusing a Warranty is illegal in australia.
Start quoting consumer law and they will replace/refund you

They HAVE TO
Legally

Even if it was, Australian consumer law covers it

Consumer law covers all items within "a reasonable time frame" and any Limited warranty (such as your 30 day warranty) is not legally binding in any way.
Start arguing consumer law,
They have to refund

They have to give 12 months warranty in Australia.

Not true,
The reasonable time frame is individually decided for each case and scales to product expectations.
For instance,
If is has a physical defect from factory it has an unlimited warranty
