Differnce between US and UK keyboard layouts?

How easy it to adapt from a UK to a US keyboard because I am planning on buying

MasterKeys Pro S Mechanical Keyboard with Intelligent RGB, Cherry MX Blue Switches, Multiple Lighting Modes and 80% Layout

But it is in US layout and I'm from England. However they don't sell the UK layout in MX Blues. Can I just replace a few key caps and it will work fine?

The only differences AFAIK are that the " and @ are switched. No £ symbol maybe.... and possibly the ? and ' are somewhere else too, but can't say for sure... I know for definite about the " and @

son.......... no, son.

http://blogs.transparent.com/english/differences-between-the-us-and-uk-computer-keyboard/ although I have an MSI laptop that's US and has an Alt-GR key, this seems to be right

so if I had a US layout and bought a few kepcaps to move around could I essentially turn it into UK?

I find the quickest way to tell by looking at the return button, if it is single or double height. I ran into this problem before, and at the time the Corsair RGB ones I were looking at are in full UK layout, but all the marketing pictures only show the US layout which really confused me. More recently I bought a Logitech Prodigy whatever it is called, and can also confirm they do the proper UK layout. My MSI UK laptop does have the US style layout.

It isn't so much about the mapping of the keys, you don't even need to change the keycap if you select the UK profile and press the button where it should be regardless of the marking. The biggest difference are the physically differently placed keys. Decide if that is likely to be a deal breaker for you. For example, I expect the \ key next to left-shift, and on a US style keyboard it is elsewhere and annoying, regardless if they put the £ symbol on the correct location.

Software wise nothing.

The difference is 5 different key caps which you can replace for under $10,

Also note, the UK keyboard is layout usually is ISO (vertical enter key) and US is usually ANSI (horizontal enter key), but that doesn't change much.

I was in the same predicament as you buying virtually the same keyboard from CM, it looked like the US layout online on the UK/EU store... but when it arrived it was actually in the UK layout :)

I believe they just use the same stock photos on all their stores regardless of country. I am 99% confident that if you bought it, it would have the correct keys.

I would call their customer services and ask.
