120mm vs 140mm - Is There a Benefit?

Title says it all, will there be be any noticable difference in airflow, noise, etc. between a 120mm fan and a 140mm fan?

 

Just wondering, because I notice many cases have mounts for both 120mm or 140mm.

140mm can move the same amount of air at lower RPM and therefore quieter.

At the same time, it becomes harder for larger fans (140mm vs 120mm is mostly insignificant) to build higher amounts of static pressure.

Better acoustics for higher prices, with slight volume gains. That's about it really...
