my current failing drive is a SEAGATE constellation 1tb from a HP PROLIANT server

current speeds from said drive are sequential 131MB/s read and sequential 127MB/s write with random read at 157 (IOPS) and 261 random write(IOPS) looking for a drive a drive faster than this.

needs to be FAST as possible whilst having a good warranty and reliable

used for games, 1080p films, yt recordings

I don't really trust any drives unless its WD or Seagate.

The Seagate Barracuda are pretty reliable and go all the way up to 6TB

THe WD Blue/Black/Red are great drives that also go up to 6TB

Most drives are about the same.

How much do you want to spend.

Id probably get somethign like a wd red 4tb, or a cheap toshiba 2tb for cheap and run in raid. You can also get a segate 4tb, there about the same.

Just get a wd red then. A segate 4tb would also be fine.

If it fails, just replace the drive and rebuild the raid or restore the backup.

Then make sure you have a backup, and drive failure doesn't matter.

45 WD drives RMA'd vs 11,832 HGST in the 4TB category.

clearly HGST is the way to go.
