DDR3 VS DDR4 Laptop

OK so after waiting for 3 weeks in order to get Lenovo y700 in my area but this laptop is still not available.

Lenovo y700 has DD4 RAM where as Dell 7559 has DDR3 RAM. Rest of the specs are same.

I want to know how much does DDR4 makes difference in performance as compare to DDR3 Laptop ram in terms of Gaming and Photoshop editing.

You need at least 8gb's of DDR3 or DDR4. For sufficient gaming

DDR3 vs DDR4 should have little to no effect in gaming or photoshop.  Amount of ram is important: Min: 8 GB,   Recommended: 16 GB

performance , shouldn't matter much .

however , ddr4 is more energy efficient , which should give you better battery life.

AMD Ryzen R7 1700 (3.8ghz) w/ NH-D14, EVGA RTX 2080 XC (stock), 4*4GB DDR4 3000MT/s RAM, Gigabyte AB350-Gaming-3 MB, CX750M PSU, 1.5TB SDD + 7TB HDD, Phanteks enthoo pro case

But ddr4 ( lenovo y700 ) has 4 Cell 60WHr Battery and ddr3 ( dell 7559 ) has 6 Cell 74 Whr Battery.

then in that case, it may not be a factor . the dell laptop will be heavier and thicker however.
