Wait for ZEN? Buy used now (and save some cash), and wait for ZEN?

Check your local E-bay or whatever used parts site, for your country. Prices may be different in some regions. (in my area, prices for used parts suck)

Since you have an intel haswell motherboard why not get the better i5 4460 or the i5 4590?

If you want to upgrade look for a CPU that is compatible with your motherboard

I know, I'm upgrading my motherboard aswell, am3+ socket...

Although, I am wondering between the

ASUS 970 PRO GAMING/AURA

or

MSI 970A GAMING PRO CARBON

Which both are compatible with the processor.

The FX series needs to die already.

if you buy one today, you are making a huge mistake.

Please.. don't.

It's not that good in games, and you need a motherboard for it which if you get the i5 4460 you don't.

So, you are saving money and getting mostly the same if not better performance over the FX processors, so why would you go for a FX 8370/8350?

Well yeah, but I am looking to change my Motherboard as well, not keep this one, so that's why I am taking the AMD here... If Intel has a better solution for a Motherboard and  CPU  I'll gladly take it, since I am looking to get the best of my new PC...

The i5 4460 is better! But, why are so keen on changing the motherboard, it won't affect performance.

Because:

1. I am making a second PC, so this motherboard alongside the CPU will go in an old one, and the new processor and MoBo will go in my main PC.

2. Currently I have a GIGABYTE B85M-D3V-A and I'm not a big fan of Micro-ITX motherboards, and it's lacking some stuff that I could use.

3. (not so important but here it is anyways reason) It doesn't really look pretty, and that is not a big problem, but it's kinda tiny little thing that bugs me a bit.

Then buy a new H97 board or something and haswell i5. It's just better in gaming.

its not recommended for games. its design is flawed. Every 2 cores shares a FPU which means when a floating point calculation needs to be done it slows down.

What do you want the second PC for?

I'm going to sell it. It's like a work PC.

@TomatoKillMC: The ASUS 970 PRO GAMING/AURA is the better motherboard, in fact make sure you get that rather then the MSI, as its one of the best for an FX83XX especially in stability and overclocking.

With that said, unless money is a problem (i mean here i can get a good mobo and an FX83XX cpu for half the price of the cheapest haswell i5 CPU, especially if i look out for good deals), i recommend the intel as well, although personally i would go with an i5 that has at least 3.5 Ghz.

Well yeah, money is kinda a Problem since I'm on a budget. So, the ASUS  MoBo is better.  Thanks guys. :)

Your welcome.

But honnestly i´m not sure which particular motherboard you have right now?

But i would concider to trow a locked Haswell i5 on it.

Will be cheaper then a FX83xx + Asus 970 pro gaming Aura board all together.

Because with the FX cpu´s you also gonne need a decent cooler aswell.

H97 and H81 board aren't that expensive. If anything you can afford going cheaper since you don't need to worry as much on the VRM cooling since haswell i5s use less power.

If you had to buy an AMD CPU wait for Zen or if you're into APUs you can try something on an FM2+ Socket because I think their APU graphics are better than intel's and it's more power efficient than FX CPUs.

The cooler is not such a problem... Currently I have a cheap Gigabyte LGA 1150 Motherboard, and I'm planning on changing it aswell...
