What SSD should I pick?

TheoWasTaken

Does it really matter what SSD I get? Can you really notice a difference?

I'm thinking of the corsair force LE, and the SAMSUNG 850-Series EVO but there is such a big price difference between them (even at the same size (here in Sweden atleast))

I know no one cares... but what do you guys recommend? xD

The read/write speeds on the 850 EVO are going to be higher both random and sequential, so that's what you would be paying for. Whether or not you'd notice a difference, I can't say for certain. I'd say if you are going from a HDD to a SSD you'll be happy with either one, so go with what your budget allows. You probably will be able to tell the difference only if you are paying really close attention, so ultimately go with what your budget allows and don't make compromises somewhere else to get a higher end SATA SSD.

Unless you have them in a side by side comparison, you wontreally notice a huge difference. If you budget allows for it, the 850 EVO is always the go to SSD. Other options I would also look at are the ADATA SP550 line and crucial's BX200 series or higher end MX200 series

I'd recommend the MX300 if you need something with a great controller and lower cost.

Samsungs later released 750 series is a budget variant that performs almost the same as the 850. Best budget SSD currently imo. So check that out.

Hi there :)

What are you going to use the SSD for? In most cases you shouldn't really notice performance differences between the current SSDs and you aren't very likely to reach their maximum write cycles.

I could suggest to check out WD Blue SSD
