LG V20 #Shattergate

I'm far from the only one, but it is happening. Today I became apart of this. My new week old v20 is screwed up.

Glass doesn't just break on their own, more likely people have dropped them and gotten unlucky then lied about it

it's a shame that big quality manufacturers can't make a decent product for a lot of money nowadays.

Clearly you've never talked with anyone who's owned an Xperia Z5 Compact. Glass certainly can crack without being dropped or crushed. Thermals pretty frequently have something to do with it.

Well that may be true but I still will hold judgement, especially given the fact the site the article is located on is in my malware block list

Nah, it's a thing. Small scratches can make the glass shatter.

It got picked up by my malware domain lists for Ublock Origin, which means it has at some point had malware adds or embedded

Huh, weird. I've been using it constantly with MBAM and MBAE enabled, never been flagged. I think you're safe if you want to use it, but completely understand if you don't. It's definitely not a shady site, and light years better than the likes of gpuboss, cpuboss, etc.

Its more like $800 V20. 

 

Its affecting my wide angle lens. I was directed to the local store to see if a repair can be attempted.
