Am I an idiot? I think I am...

So be honest, I promise I won't get mad... LOL... Might get disappointed to myself and get depressed and all but, whatevs, right?

So I was in need for a compact laptop, like in a hurry, mainly for just taking notes and programming on the go and such... in other words, for work. And I also wanted an stylish one.

So long story short, I bought an $2000 worth of DELL XPS 13, including tax and all, the newest model as of now, with i7 7500U.

Then later I remembered, before I freaking wanted the razerblade stealth, which has a better spec and not to mention, worth like $1200 here in Japan...

When I saw the price,  I was just like, FU~~~~~~CK! At this point my world just got destroyed...

And I mean ultrabook is cool and such it DELL XPS 13 has a very good look but spec-wise... Razerblade is better overall...

So I guess what I'm trying to say is, if there are people like me out there who are looking for a new laptop, and thinking, "Wow, DELL XPS 13 might be a good one...", I'll tell you what, go for the razeblade!

Depressed idiot potato out!

Razer quality is crap, there are tons of complaints about their laptops too, and multiple people have theirs fail or break and the customer service won't fix it.

I was going to buy a razer laptop, then I looked on the internet and saw all the problems with them.

I have an XPS13 and there are no problems with it.

Can't you return the XPS tho?

also, it depends what you want your laptop to do -- if you want a good schoolwork laptop that looks sexy and has good battery life, the XPS 13 is worlds better, but for gaming, the XPS stands no chance

Unfortunately I can't return it...

I'm using it mainly for work anyways, programming on the go and taking notes... thats about it... so theres no problem there. I also think its a bit OP for those tasks alone...

But price and spec is what beats me though...

I got my IdeaPad P580 and on that day, when I went to Costco, they were selling the U410 at exactly the same price. To this day I'm still debating whether or not if I chose the wrong machine. Sure I would loose my GT 630m and downgrade to an i5 if I got the U410. But the P580 is bulky and weighs a ton when transiting to school every day.

And well, Razer isn't exactly known for having the best quality.

No... there is 0 buzzing noise.

And I set mine to turn off the display when the lid is closed and go to sleep after 15 mins.

Are you sure you know how windows works? You know there are "power settings" in control panel right?

If you want it to sleep immediately you need to do this http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/25230/beginner-geek-change-what-windows-does-when-you-shut-your-laptops-lid/

Otherwise it just goes to sleep after the set amount of time.

Doesn't happen to me.

I clean installed windows too, maybe that helped, or maybe it's just because I have the 1080p model or something.

Are you using the windows 10 default driver for touchpad? or a different one? coz it appears to be a driver problem...

There is no product from razer's entire product line that fits that description even loosely... but all review sites suck Razer's nenen, so they get rave reviews all over. It happens with ASUS laptops too, when people review higher end models. It doesn't matter what the current product line is, the following will basically *ALWAYS* happen in reviews and tier listings:

- Razer mice and non-high-end laptops will always be #1

- ASUS high end laptops will always be #1

It doesn't matter whether the gear is good or bad. It simply happens. People who are rather basic review things and put too much importance in look and outward feel of the machine, and rate it with as much weight as performance/cooling/warranty/ease of maintenance/etc COMBINED gets.

Ignore all Razer products and all ASUS laptops and you'll do just fine. Also ignore all HP consumer brand laptops.

I have finally moved to a desktop. Also my guides are outdated as hell.

Haven't delved into the Alienwares yet; cannot pass judgement. MSI... they're not overheating, which is good. I would advise against the GS43VR; not built for longevity on some of the parts. The GS63 and GS73 are pretty okay otherwise, and the GT73 is fine. The GT series are pricey, though. If considering a GT62VR, I suggest the Tornado F5 from Eurocom instead; it uses the desktop CPU with socketed GPU and isn't much more expensive. Good choice if you need MSI. Not sure why MSI won't sell those laptops separately.

I'd like to add that the MSI 16L13's fans are so much quieter than it's competitors the P750DM2.

Lol wat? It gets half the battery life, throttles like crazy, has a much worse keyboard, has a smaller display in a larger footprint, quality control is garbage, support is even worse. The dell is 1000x better than the blade.

If you don't like it, you can return it to Dell. They take it and refund you.

Has to be 30 from when you bought it though.

You might have some personal issues with the xps, but believe me, they will quadruple with the razer blade stealth.
