VGA does not carry power, it wouldn't damage anything. Even HDMI wouldn't.

maybe close your internet connection for 1 month or sell your GPU or PC to get that $5 converter?

Ah, then don't bother. I have a 15" monitor as my second screen, and it only has VGA. Hey, it was $7.50 from the thrift store in box.

idk

Still nothing. The ports on the monitor are input ports and connecting two inputs together does absolutely nothing. The same goes for connecting two outputs together on the GPU.

With that said, since the release of DisplayPort 1.2, some monitors have a special output DP on them. With those kinds of monitors you can daisychain several monitors, usually up to three of them, together.

Actually...some monitor does have the option for daisy chaining monitor togethers.

Only way to daisy chain monitors is if the monitor supports thunderbolt, or has a Displayport Out port.

Otherwise if you try it on a normal monitor, it won't do anything at all.
