That's the cheapest 8GB RAM stick I could find, and I added a SSD cause I already have a HDD. and a 1TB HDD also costs the same.

Can you suggest a cheaper case? Should I go for a M-ATX case? and how will that affect me? I'm gonna install a total of 3 drives.

Thanks!

I thought about that, but won't it affect me later? Like won't it get 'Outdated' pretty soon? Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Edit: By outdated, I mean not being able to push 60 Frames in newer titles

That's true. Get a cheaper mATX case if you can find one

Hold on, why not buy the GTX 1060 from amazon india, I found a couple of 1060 6GB there that are cheaper than the 1060 3GB you picked.

swap SSD for 1TB 7200rpm HDD, cheper RAM if there is any and a cheaper case. that should do it

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

No that one:

But, it seems there is a pricing error in pcpartpicker which made it look cheaper, so forget about it.

WD 1TB 7200rpm HDD costs ₹100 less , the RAM I selected is the cheapest I could find. I found a Corsair M-ATX case for $5 less than the one I have. :(

Yea, pricing in India is weird, and expensive. Because if all that import and shipping fees!

I can definitely go for that motherboard.

1) Why do you prefer the 470 over the 1060(3G)?

2) The RX470 link you sent is from Amazon Global Store, where I get no warranty for anything I buy.

and Thanks for the motherboard like! :)

Mainly because of the price/performance but since they're the same price in India I think you're good with the 1060 3G.

Btw it's a cut down version of the 6GB with less CUDA cores. Just keep away from very high quality textures that would tax your VRAM and you should be fine.

Not brainwashed, I've had a lot of unpleasant experiences with local brands when something goes wrong, especially the after sale service. And I'd like to go with a good brand power supply, because if something goes wrong with it, it takes down other components too.

Good for you I guess and hope it lasts you a few years but it doesn't prove its quality.

Found a review from an Indian techblogger, and he recommended to go with a Corsair VS450 instead. Choosing a low tier corsair psu over that unit raises red flags.

i actually think it's much better than vs450 because it failed on me just under 4 months, probably my fault though 'cause i used a heavy powerful leaf blower to clean my pc. But cables in my current powersupply are so much better, I can plug it easily in 24pin motherboard atx connector without putting any kind of effort or force.

You did the Carey Holzman leaf blower method? That shouldn't contribute to psu degradation unless you pointed the nozzle directly into the psu fan and dialed the max setting. xD

I'm certain the leaf blower had nothing to do with it, you just got a bad unit.
