Posted October 27, 2016 Hi, So I won a GTX 1080 in a competition it's the Strix version, I already have two Titan X's Maxwell versions now I am in the dilema as to if I keep the titans or the 1080 the 1080 is slightly better in games that don't support sli but what about the games that do will the titan x's stomp the 1080. What do you guys think. And I don't want to buy another 1080 and SLI it... Posted October 27, 2016 Author I'm thinking of keeping the 1080 whilst the titans have some value left to them otherwise they will be worth very little once the next gen comes out and then get the monitor I want and then if I feel one isn't enough wait till the 1080ti comes out and the 1080's should have a price drop shouldn't they? Posted October 27, 2016 Yeah that seems the most logical choice to me. Sell the Titan Xs and get another 1080. If you stick with two Titan Xs or a single 1080 you'll have to upgrade sooner anyway. Whereas with two 1080s you'll be all set for a long time!

Yeah I would have probably kept the Titans if it wasn't for winning the competition I just entered with no thought that I would win it lol but by the sounds of things the 1080's run cooler as well are two open air coolers ok for SLI I always thought blower cards were better for SLI.
