Do you play PC games with a Console Controller?

Now obviously I am not talking about playing Minecraft on your PC with a controller, I am talking about games like Battlfield, Need for Speed, GTA etc.

 

Let me know the reasoning behind why you use a controller/keyboard and mouse.

I use a 360 controller for most of my games. Ive only just started using mouse and keyboard when some of my friends peer presured me into it. I forget which ones exactly so im not naming any names...it was probably all of them anyway.

Sometimes i use a PS3 controller when i play RPG's like The Elder Scrolls and Fallout. It's much more comfy than keyboard/mouse. But obviously i use keyboard and mouse when i play multiplayer FPS games etc

The only time I use my Xbox 360 controller is driving games,

or games that have poor controls on PC.

I didn't vote, cause there wasn't option for me. Yes I use controller (non microsoft and sony), but I use it only for race games.

You can't play total war with a controller.....keyboard/mouse does the trick.
Even if I would use a controller I'd have to put it down constantly to click on stuff or change my playlist or type to chat to friends etc...
A controller doesn't have enough functionality imho.

I have an Xbox controller that can be used with pc and yet I have never used it for that.  Forget what type of controls I use to play games I got to stop buying games and play what I have.  I also got to get better at gaming so it doesn't take me so darn long to complete a game.  It is ridiculous how bad I am.

i use a 360 controller for racing games and for state of decay on steam because the keyboard support is junk for that game at the moment

Only in racing/sandbox style games like GTA/SR or JC. Just because I find the game more enjoyable to play with a controller.

 

FPS games and anything first person or fast paced has to be KB/M.

I got a logitech controller that's PS2 style.

2 xbox 360 controllers.

And a saitek controller that i bought a long time ago.

 

Controllers are awesome. =]

RTS and FPS games shouldn't be played with a controller though.

I mainly use my controllers for racing games, GTA style games, sports games, and emulators.

Basically this. Dark Souls had a direct Xbox 360 port, and playing with KB + M was possible, but definitely would make the game unnecessarily difficult.

 

I tried to use an off-brand Xbox 360 controller for an FPS game and couldn't get a single kill in multiplayer. I can't really play games on a controller anymore (used to be console-only). Fighting games, racing games, flying games/sims are the only ones that I would consider using a controller for now.

I don't have gaming peripherals but I still use Keyboard and Mouse.

No! M/KB is the main reason i like PC gaming over Console gaming.
