Windows 10 don't use dedicated GPU

Recently upgrade to Windows 10 and I've noticed that when open games or applications very demanding of GPU, Windows uses the integrated intel GPU instead of using the dedicated NVIDIA. Try changing the NVIDIA control panel to use a dedicated GPU default, but does not solve the problem.
Previously I used by Windows 8.1 and never had this problem.
Drivers are updated to the latest version available is currently (373.06), and Windows updates are current.

Any suggestions?

In that case, shut it off and throw it away.

 

J/k.  Go into BIOS and disable the iGPU.

you can not disable the internal gpu, because the screen is connected to this by default

You need to download the Windows 10 drivers after a DDU.

What laptop?

The Graphics should be switching in between games. The Intel HD Graphics should be enabled for desktop mode. The Dedicated Graphics Card should be enabled for gaming. Don't disable your iGPU. Your PC screen should switch to the Dedicated GPU if you change it in your Intel Graphics Settings.

The dgpu will kick in when it is needed, on the desktop the igpu is going to run just fine, launch a game or something and the dgpu should start.

After more than a week researching and trying differents things to solve the problem,  I've given up.  I have not been able to solve the problem,  my only solution was to return to windows 8.1. Thank you all for you suggestions
