Yes and yes.

I suggest getting a 120GB SSD for the OS and a few games, paired with a 1-2TB HDD for games where you dont need speed and for mass storage though. Just the 480GB SSD will restrict you.

I find it hard to believe that a 6600k will be a bottleneck. If it is it must just be a small one.

Yes, a 660K will bottleneck a 1070. At 1080p because ts 1080p you'll still get over 100fps no problem

Also remember SLI scaling and how NVIDIA isn't putting much effort into it these days. So it, like always, will be better to sell it and buy a higher tiered GPU

@keNNySOC @Muzzy2002

i5 will bottleneck a 1070, maybe not that much with these "older" gamers, but god damn in the future it will bottleneck in all AAA titles. If you put two 1070s together in SLI then you are basically fucked over, there is no way a i5 6600k can handle that, it would be like throwing money out of the window, because you need atleast a 6700k to do SLI.

10% difference in GTA V when both are OCed and most of the time the i5 just catches up to the i7 when it is OCed to 4.5GHz, who says that you can get that OC? Also that is with maxwell Titan X, not Pascal, so this is basically a 1070. This graph is by digitalfoundry.
You might look at it and think oh that is nothing, well now think about the i7 giving you a more stable FPS, now think about that the i5 when running at 4.5GHz bearly gives the same FPS as a stock 6700k and what if you cannot get your i5 to that, now think about if your CPU goes up to 80-90% or over, then you might get some stuttering. Lastly think about the future

b41227d61898217535329a3fdc5d06ee.png.c160fd59aadbe7eb63fac284ad7bdfc8.png

and then you have this video that shows that at 1080p locked 60 FPS the 6600k at 4.5GHZ has a really hard time with a 1060. We even see 99/100% in witcher 3 and if you think it will get better in the furture then you are a fool, it will only get worse, when "next gen" games start hitting us in 2-3 years, then that i5 is fucked harder than it already is. Games are getting more and more CPU demanding. With new AAA titles it will make a i5 a 1060 max kinda CPU, no matter how you look at it, right now it is a very weak maybe single 1070, if you only plan on having it for a year or two, but anything more and the i5 is a no go.

We also have this video, where I want you to look at how stable the FPS is on the i7 and i5. remember this, this video is with a Titan X maxwell aka a 1070 or so in performance. You can also clearly see that the i7 gets a higher FPS most of the time and you want to SLI a 1070, that is just RIP i5 then

Also change that PSU if you are even thinking about SLI and drop that low rated GOLD rating. This is how your build should look http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/GmMw3F
