DeepCool GAMMAXX400 VS CoolerMaster HYPER212 (X/Plus/Evo)

Go to solution Solved by Herman Mcpootis,

the gammaxx 400 is only a few degrees higher than the hyper 212, not worth spending the extra money.

Hey Guys,

I recently bought a Deepcool Gammaxx 400 CPU Cooler but I now want to get a Hyper 212 (X/Plus/Evo)

So I know that the Hyper 212 is better but in my region it is more expensive. I want to know which one of the Hyper 212 Coolers is the best also compared with the Gammaxx 400. But I also want to know how much better.

I paid $32 for the Gammaxx 400

the hyper 212x costs $59

the hyper 212 Evo costs $49

So should I stick with the Gammaxx 400 or get the Evo or the 212X

thanks, Viraat

Thanks, do you have a source for this?

Tomshardware did a benchmark and found that the 400 beats the 212 in performance (and, obviously, price). My own anecdotal experimentation backs that up. The Gammaxx 400 is my top choice for entry level coolers right now.

I enjoy buying junk and sinking more money than it's worth into it to make it less junk.
