What is best antivirus for gamers??

Hello Linus People,

 

I been using a MacOS for a while; I got my Alienware yesterday, Anyway I just want to ask do I need anti-virus ?? If so, What is the best anti virus for gaming.

 

Using Windows 10 Pro.

Just stay away from the Asians that trade sex for living space... (this is a joke about advertisements that I've actually seen)

 

You don't really need much. Just download MalwareBytes free, it should be good enough.

Even for a mac you should run an antivirus, windows will have windows defender by default.

 

There is no "gaming" antivirus.

Common Sense is good, as is Windows Defender & MalwareBytes as backup.

 

Seriously, don't go around clicking every download button you see, that's a great way to avoid viruses.

I highly reccomend Avast antivirus, it has a game mode so you aren't constantly getting notifications.
