Asus PB278Q vs Acer XG270HU

I've already dug into each monitor specs. Looked over reviews, pros and cons to each.

 

I want to pick up 2, one for gaming and the other as a secondary screen for music, game info, and stuff I keep up on my 2nd screen. 

 

I'm just torn between a beautiful image that the Asus offers, or the 144hz that the Acer offers. 

 

Would my 1070 handle 144hz, even if I turned down some stuff. I don't need it to be highest ultra uber max settings. If I feel it doesn't affect gameplay or subtract from my experience, I'll turn it down or off.

 

Which one would be a good monitor? Between these 2.  Ive had other monitors before, that were gaming oriented and I felt I was paying more for the fact it was a "gaming" monitor and maybe giving up something somewhere else because of that.
