People have tried doing that. 

 

Hell Congress just over rode President Obama on a law that the family members of those killed on 9/11 can sue Saudi Arabia. Because some of the terrorist were from that nation. But how can you hold the Government of a Country accountable for a crime some citizens of there's decided to do? Pretty soon other nations will be suing the US for all the destruction and death we have been leaving fighting the war on terror. 

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

Shouldn't we sue Microsoft then? People use windows to pirate. Same with MacOS.

Yes, BUT if a United States Federal Court can hold an ISP accountable for piracy, whats stopping them from doing that to Kodi?

That's the media for you, they point at Kodi because if they started talking about repositories lots of people won't understand and will lose interest. Expect all coverage to have a big Kodi stamp on the box.
