was wondering if anyone knew if its possible to run an external GPU thrugh a USB 3.1 gen 1 port, and if so, how powerfull could that GPU be before there is a bottleneck with the port? also im not sure becacuse there are two USB ports and it dosent say but its either type A or C, probably C but the laptop page dosent say afaik. thanks for any replies and any help :D

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

well it is the only way to get an external gpu for a laptop. thought i would show it.

you can do it with adapters and stuff instead of a wifi card for example but im not allowed to touch the insides of the laptop, if i could do that i would already have upraded the RAM and found some other GPU to botch in it or something instead of the R7 M350 lol

well yeah you can get a usb wireless adapter but thats alot diffrent than a gpu. a gpu needs 4 lanes of pcie 3.0 while a wireless card can run off of one lane of pcie 2.0
