I bought a used PC from an IT guy. He looked alright, in an upscale neighborhood. Well I know where he lives so I doubt anything will happen.

But to ease my peace of mind what program should I install, and what system scan program should I use.

I got Kaspersky Free Internet Security, and Malwarebytes. I will also download MSE and run Defender.

But I got my LAN connection hooked up now so I am a bit weary. I had to connect LAN to get internet, for Kaspersky and most likely the others too.

Later on I will format the HDD's and reinstall W7 Pro 64 bit onto a small SSD. Maybe I should have done that right off the top.

You're probably good, if too worried you can always just get a new hard drive.

I already got a small 120GB SSD, its got my old AMD Vista on there. But I never really used it as that system really sucked.

This new used system is just a i7-920 but the mobo can OC.
