what make pc a gaming rig

gokussblue

what make a pc a gaming rig? in my view it is the hardware, it does not matter if the pc is factory built or custom built , if your pc plays games it is a gaming rig

As long as it plays the games you wanna play, it's a gaming machine. :)

I think the OP just wants some one to agree with his notion that if it plays the games he likes then it's a gaming PC.

A "gaming" rig is something that can rock Crysis at 50FPS+

Not simple games.

I would not call the game series SIMS a real game.

You can not call a Workstation PC a gaming PC just cuz you can play simple games on it.

A 750Ti+i3 wouldn't be capable of that but I'd still consider it a gaming rig.

You know what I mean.

I don't.  I'm sure others don't either.

You also added another uncertainty with your attempt of a "gaming PC" definition:  simple games.

You now have the burden of defining the line between "simple" games and whatever it is you consider "real" games.

When i was a kid, i had a PC which was sold as a "Gaming Pc " and Of course i got Mine Craft, but it would Stutter, couple years later, after i learned some stuff, i realised the Pc didnt have a gpu and the game ran purely off of Integrated Graphics, Its quite interesting cause i used to get upset when i maxed out the Rendering on the game and it wouldnt run well. BUt yeah , Gaming Pc my Bananas! :P

As far as I'm concerned...

This is a standard computer:

A person who murders, is a murderer.

A pc that is used for gaming, is a gaming rig.
