Screen Recorder/1440P/30+ FPS

Go to solution Solved by Electronics Wizardy,

OBS?

If you use NVEC, there is a very small performance hit(less than 5%)

You can also use shadow play.

Background: I want to record 1440p gameplay on my 1440p monitor at 30+ frames which means it doesn't have to be 60fps if there currently isn't a screen recorder that can achieve that, but if there is one, please do tell. I would like feedback on whether anomalies occur when you view the video, if possible please include it.

IMPORTANT: I want the best, so price doesn't matter. Only exception is Camtasia. I can do without it :^).

I'll only list the Main components of the PC. The rest can be found in my profile.

Specs:

  • Motherboard: ASUS Z170-A ATX DDR4

  • Core: Intel Core i7 6700K

  • GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 FTW GAMING ACX 3.0

  • RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 2666Mhz

  • Hard Drive: Western Digital 'Red' 3TB

  • SSD: Samsung 850 Pro -512GB-

  • Monitor: ASUS ROG Swift PG279Q -27 Inch-

Power Supply: EVGA SuperNOVA 650 GS| 80+ Gold| 650W

Hope I didn't omit any necessary information required for you to recommend me something I might be interested in. Have a good one!

I've heard good things about it, but I wouldn't bet my money on it

You said unlimited budget. $30 is small fee for software which promises to record anything your screen can show. I know its not easiest to setup, but it was the thing to get when OBS was new as streaming software.

I'll look more into it. Chances are I didn't research enough. Thank you for the suggestions!

IIRC it even had 30day trial to test out. Don't remember if it was limited or all features and settings available.
