i think it will come out tomorrow  :D (not sure)

 

and i plan test the 13.10 (64b)

CPU = A10 6800K (@4.3Ghz) / GPU = HD 8670D (@844mhz/ram@1866mhz) - 2016 ≠ Dual Cores - why learn Linux ? - OLD intel x4 cpu (Q6600) + amd HD 7950 - this is what i think on watts x dollar cost - CPU "bottlenecks" only start to show "at the super high end cards" (like the 390) if you have a 4 cores CPU

I might install Xubuntu 13.10 on my thinkpad.

i even change the sidebar on my windows machine to L side  ^_^
 
because i get used it to the Ubuntu L bar of Unity  B)

Im finding xubuntu 13.10 useless when compared with 13.04, wifi disabled on boot, closing laptop lid causes hibernate regardless of power management settings, resuming from suspend causes fans to be at full throttle and loss of all networking. This could be an issue with some part of the power management alas I do not have the time to fix it, back to 13.04 time.

My main pc is on 13.04 and it has worked pretty well. I will upgrade to 13.10 LTS and will stay on the LTS except for specific software where I want the latest updates and improvements (or I might change my mind again and to every version from this LTS to the next one).

 

I will wait a few weeks before upgrading. I got burned once by being too eager. The problem was that so many people were doing the upgrade that my upgrade / install got lost. e.g. their server's were overwhelmed by how many persons were doing the install at the same time.

i finish my jump from 12.04 to 13.10  ^_^ (always on 64b)

 

is cool, and noticed many improvements since 12.04

 

was a good change for me

 

 

 

i take out Firefox and i add Chrome  :lol:

 

i turn off all web searches  B)

 

i pass 30GB from my old 12.04 to 13.10 with improved speeds  :D

 

 

 

the only bad side is my super weak machine (1 core / 1,7 ghz)

 

but still work awesome on the 64 bits  :wub:

keep in mind that the next LTS will have at least Linux 3.12 :lol: (and the true gamer Linux Age will start)
