So just checked Origin and BF1942 is free because of a 10 year anniversary they say.

Go get it!                                              :)

It's been like that for a while :P, it's a shame they haven't done it with with BF2 aswell. :(

Case = Bitfenix Prodigy, Motherboard = P8Z77 - I Deluxe, CPU = 3570k @ 4.2GHz, RAM = 2x 8GB G-Skill Ripjaws, GPU = Sapphire 7950 Boost Edition, Storage = 256GB Samsung 840 Pro.

Remember that that game has also lots of mods. All working fine with free version also. Any problems with starting might be result of resolution. Like any older game, trick is to modify config files. This time Video.con located somewhere in either /Users/Battlefield 1942 or EA Games folder in Program Files.

It's pretty awesome, especially with the expansions.

I like that the campaign exists too :)
