PC shuts down itself after 5-6 days

My new PC which I build 3 weeks ago is shutting down itself very strange. It's working fine, but shuts down itself every 5-6 days and doesn't reboot. After I press the power button to power it on it works fine like nothing ever happened. Everything is brand new except the GPU which I borrowed from my old PC. It's not overheating, all temps are fine.

yeah and if it's OC'd it might need a little bit more voltage because it might just be slightly unstable and it may time out and shut off at a power droop time during running. If not it might be the PSU but I doubt it

Does that also mean you just leave your PC on fully 24/7?

Please check 'Event Viewer' > Windows Logs > System - and filter it by a Custom time range for the time it went down, and show Critical & Errors.

You can see the 'Filter Current Log...' on the right hand side panel.

But I take it you aren't on the Windows Insider Updates, which is the fast track?

Windows 10 automatically reboots during updates when it thinks you arent using it (i.e middle of the night).

In saying this though, it should be rebooting if its updates - and not just powering off.

I just checked Windows Event Logger and found the following error at the time the shutdown happened: The system was rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed or lost power unexpectedly. It is a Critical Level error and it's source is Kernel-Power.
I haven't overclocked my CPU, in fact everything in the BIOS is default settings except I enabled XMP.
No I don't have my PC running 24/7, what I wanted to say is that these random shutdowns happen every 5-6 days.
I'm not windows insider, but im sure this is not an update because my PC shutdowns itself instantly (like when you pull the power cord)

Could be an unstable RAM OC, then. Just because your kit is rated for 3200mhz doesn't mean that your CPU's IMC will be fine with it.

Disable XMP and see if it reboots ever again.

The RAM should be stable, it passed 8 hours of HCI MemTest last week.

Well, if it only reboots once a week, then don't you think 8h is too little?

Regardless, turn XMP off and see if it reboots or not. Do it, even if just for the sake of troubleshooting.
