Overclocking laptops is never a good idea, even if there was a way to do it, you shouldn't.

No and for a good reason. If you start OCing, you will overload the power adapter

I OCed my GT9600 in my MacBook Pro. Doesn't mean you should though. Most power adapter are rated for exactly or within a small margin of what it performs at.

I believe you can OC the GPU. What I would do is undervolt the CPU with Throttlestop to allow the thermal design more headroom and then OC the GPU. Small OCs should have no problem as the 960m is a HELLA cool chip and the 7559 thermal design is fine.

First of all, the OS is XP. Second of all mobile =/= desktop. the 6700HQ cannot be OCed. the 6820HQ can have it turbo bins adjusted and the 6820HK is fully unlocked. The 7559 uses none of these.

Your video card can be overclocked. It can hit +135MHz over base, and may even stay cool enough (I don't know the thermals on its 960M normally). It may not be stable at this overclock without a custom video BIOS though, and I don't know if one exists for your model specifically (though you can always go donate to Prema and request one), nor how your power brick will handle it, nor how your cooling will handle it.

 

Your CPU is dead in the water. 6700HQ is completely locked; Turbo boost on or turbo boost off. 2.5GHz base clock, 3.1GHz 3-core & 4-core boost, 3.3GHz 2-core boost, 3.5GHz 1-core boost (depends dynamically on the load distribution present on the CPU).

 

As for what overclocking software to use, I suggest either MSI Afterburner or nVidia inspector.

I have finally moved to a desktop. Also my guides are outdated as hell.
