Need insight on 2 builds.

Go to solution Solved by Zyndo,

At those price range your build aesthetics shouldn't matter. you could make either of those builds into any sort of colour scheme with very little budget or performance adjustments.

So that aside you just need to ask yourself what resolution and fps you want to be playing at. even at 1080p a reasonably demanding game can't be run at 144 fps at Vh/ultra graphics (or even at high). Same for 1070 and 1440p. A game like LoL will have no issues running 144 fps (you could probably even do that on 1440p with a 1060 without breaking a sweat). A game like Witcher won't be doable with any reasonable graphics settings on either of those builds at 144 fps (although it will still run smoothly).

Either of those builds would be just great. But it really depends what kind of gaming experience you're after, and how much you're willing to pay in order to get there

So I got these 2 builds. One is cheaper and more black themed and with lower quality components for basic gaming. While the other one is a white themed gaming PC for a bit more hardcore gaming. Need some feedback on what I chose.

Build 1: http://pcpartpicker.com/list/mXqRKZ

Build 2: http://pcpartpicker.com/list/JCJbLD

Edit: Games I'm going to play for sure: LoL Overwatch Dead by Daylight. Might play Witcher 3 and Skyrim. Let's just say high/very high settings for all games but Witcher 3 which will be maybe at medium high.

The screens have Gsync  I think so even if you don't get 144Hz it is still smooth, and what Zyndo says.

60+ Fps achievable?

Jup. Think in games you mention overall around 100+ for the 1060 on average with high settings with setups mentioned. 1070 even higher. So still fast paced to make use of high refresh rate (allthough not maxed) and combined with Gsync should be looking great and smooth.

See it like this. Sure there is a noticable difference between 60 and 120/144Hz, but if you are around 100+ combined with Gsync not sure if you perceive that anymore compared to 120/144.
