Just built a heated bed for my flatmate to grow seeds. Temperature controlled.

I build lighting effects for warhammer 40K

Currently planning an RC truck with a robot arm with a crap load of batteries so it can be driven around for (hopefully) hours by my nephew.

I need to finish my 3D printer first though.

A few years ago I built a laser tripwire timing system with a wireless interface for downhill longboarding.  Had 3 stations one for the top, middle and bottom of the hill.  800 meters tested wireless range, would display times at the top and bottom for each person going down.

I can highly recommend OSHpark for manufacturing of one off projects (you get three copies for $5 per square inch)

I have enough electronics knowledge to diagnose and repair electronics like motherboards and power supplies and monitors (well, it's basically power supplies as that's what most often fails in monitors)

i also dabble from time to time in making small circuits / projects using microcontrollers (mostly microchip PIC, just because it's not arduino, didn't want to be like all the others, not saying that i couldn't code arduino stuff if i wanted to)

I build power supplies, battery chargers, fan controllers, timers, solar trackers, really anything that needs to be automated. Sometimes a lot of these devices get put into a single build together.

Built power stuff and robot arm in the past. Some home automation stuff too.

Now projects in pipeline:

1. GPS synchronized clock with VFD display (had enough for those cheapo alarm clocks)

2. Some upgrades for my car (USB charger, bluetooth music, lighting controller etc)

3. Digital PSU (blown my previous one)

4. Bluetooth Mechanical Keyboard (just to learn ARM MCU)

I like having multiple projects happening together. I could work on whichever whenever I want.

I mostly deal with LEDs, basic home/garden automation, conversion of sound to light effects and DIY cabling (anything from making your own 3.5mm cables to custom PC cabling)
