can't seem to find any nice ones under the price of the asus (ones with xlr) 

CPU: i5 4670k with Noctua C12P-SE14 GPU: Gigabyte GTX 770 SSD: 250gb Samsung EVO MOBO: MSI Z87-G43 RAM: 8GB G-Skill 1600mhz PSU: Antec HCG 620W CASE: Corsair 300R windowed

has balanced out but they are trs not xlr.

That's actually got me thinking about like an NI Audio 6 possibly. 

why do you need balanced outputs for a mixer?

Could get a Little Dot DAC_I and add any ol' cheap headphone amp for monitoring.  :unsure:
