So, I had a AMD 290 and I just upgraded to a 1080, I have an Intel i7 Processor at 4Ghz. I also have a 144hz monitor.

So, my problem is this, I am playing on 1080p and played 3 games so far.

I have played world of warcraft where I'm getting about 80 - 90 frames on the highest settings.

I have played counter strike where this was really weird. It started off with 400 frames, and was running fine, then it dropped to 150 and then it kept going down to 50. I restarted the game, same thing. Restarted it again and it seemed fine... Really not sure what that was to be honest. My old card ran csgo fine, stable 250 frames all the time... (Same quality settings)

I then tried Frycry primal because of the benchmark tool they have in it, I was only getting 80 frames, it peaked at about 100 but average was 80. (Highest settings)

The frames so far seem so unstable, I was monitoring the usage and it was on a stable 82 degrees most of the time, peaked at 84 but was around 82, using 99% of the GPU usage but still frames seem to be off? I'd understand if I was playing at 4k but at 1080p it just seems so bad. I'm not sure if something is up with my card or maybe drives, any suggestions/help?

Edit: Checked benchmarks and it said wow would get about 250 and frycry would get 110.

Are your AMD drivers still installed?

Also, is there a reason why you're gaming at such a ridiculous frame rate?

Did you use DDU to uninstall all AMD drivers and install the latest nvidia drivers?

No I uninstalled them and used DDU, and I want it for VR and I might be getting a 4k monitor.

At first no, but now I have. I've done it twice now.

I don't know if that explains why you're gaming at a ridiculous frame rate, as it's still not needed since you're going way beyond your monitor's refresh rate.

What are your clock speeds on your video card?

At the moment I just want to see if there is anything wrong with the card, I'm okay with the frames I'm getting but it just seems odd.

Its running at about 1600Mhz

Edit: Theses have all been monitored by EVGAs GPU Tweak.
