upgrading my gpu on a budget

im looking to upgrade my old gtx 750 1 gb

 

ill have around 120 pound to spend on a new GPU 

 

what would you recommend 

 

i was thinking about the rx 460 or the gtx 950

get the GTX 960 i think that's in your budget and i think you can get 4GB version now

I would recommend trying to buy used 900 series. Here in Finland you could manage to get used GTX 970 for 200 euros. I would highly recommend looking for used cards, just make sure that they haven't been abused like overclocked to the limit or used for bitcoin mining. As far as I know bitcoin mining ended before the release of GTX 970 so you should be safe with that card.

the gtx 960 is like 150 in the uk so ill probably go for the gtx 950 maybe ?

don't bother save longer your just wasting money

 

either save for 4gb 960 or get a 970 you can buy a 970 new for £200ish now so

I'd do the same. I don't know about prices in U.K but I'd recommend possibly saving up for GTX 1050 or 1060, if they are not as expensive as here in Finland.

ye honestly with new cards released i wouldn't bother with 900 series under 970. I'm getting another 970 for SLI to help run new games

honestly only you know what you need but if you can get 970 for similar price go for it over the 960
