I'm looking for parts for a desktop rig in the future I'm really stuck as to which processor to get. My current rig is an ASUS x555lab laptop with an i7 5500u processor and 12gb of ram .Now some of you are thinking DUDE!!! your out of your mind those are awesome specs!! They are but my onboard graphics suck. There is nothing I really can do for this so I'm stuck to building a PC. I'm looking for a processor that will deliver around the same performance as I get right now but not something really expensive. Any opinions will be greatly appreciated.

wow i thought i7 actually meant power well the truth hurts lol

The i7 you have is a dual core with hyperthreading (essentially a quad core) and is a low power i7. Desktop consumer i7's have 4 cores with hyperthreading (an octa core.) I would recommend the G4400 for a processor of the same calibre as yours :)
