I built my computer last December (Parts in sig) and I just got around to selling my ps3 since my family used it for Netflix. Black Friday is coming up, and I was wondering if you guys have any suggestions on tech related things I should purchase. I have $180.

CPU: Phenom II X4 965. GPU: Sapphire Vapor-X 7770. MoBo: AsRock 970 Extreme3. Ram: Corsair Vengeance 8gb 1600. PSU: Antec BP550. HDD: 1tb Seagate Case: RoseWill Challenger. CPU Fan: Arctic Freezer 7 Pro Rev 2. Monitor: Some crap gateway 1650x1050.

A new monitor.

More specifically a Dell UltraSharp U2312HM, which you can get for around that price.

Ahh thanks xDBtw, I might sound like a complete NOOB but I have never experienced a Black friday so can you please answer these questions? :)

Does everything go for sale? Does black friday occur only on the internet or local stores too? About how much % does everything that goes on sale gets discounted? Thanks!

You have to get there early, last time I went at noon and the only thing left were a gt 610 a 250gb ide external hdd and a can of beans

TBH black Friday isn't a big deal for electronics, cyber Monday on the other hand...

hehe

 

itanium was a failed xeon type processor lineup by intel. they could easily get out gunned by a 100mhz pentium and there was a huge lawsuit etc. I guess they got better and still make them but idk. Not a lot of people know about the itanium lineup of processors

I guess the way that they fit in is to drive assembly line operations and host servers in hostile environments like factory's they don't need a high clock rate.

well 180 dollars isn't much but if you are fine with gaming performance right now i'd suggest a decent monitor the Acer H236HLbid Black 23" is a fantastic monitor for the price. It's a 1080p 23" IPS paneled monitor with a 5ms response time. It's pretty much the best thing ever I have the 21" version and I can honestly state it's my favorite part of my build. If you aren't satisfied I'd suggest getting a 7950 they are around 200-230 bucks right now but keep your eyes open for one that goes cheaper on black friday. And i'd suggest trying to upgrade your CPU shortly after cause those phenoms are starting to show their age.

 

TL:DR if you are good on performance get monitor. If you are disappointed in games go or a 7950 than a new CPU
