How to install a new GPU?

So, I just ordered a used gtx 980 to replace my gtx 670. But how should I install it? Do iIjust plug it in, or do I need to uninstall the drivers before putting in the new card?

i7 7700K @ 4.8 Ghz (Kraken x52 aio cooler)

Yes you will need to uninstall your old driver. Put your gpu in, connect cables and install new drivers

ok, thx. I assume I can just do it through the controlpanel and nothing other than that...

Um, no. Not if you're going from an Nvidia card to another Nvidia card. He will need to update his drivers (probably), but not reinstall.

Find the hole, put it in the hole, and make sure you don't get hurt by the hole (when exiting)... Seriously, I have my fair share of cuts from sheet metal.

To update your drivers or reinstall them youll have to get them from the Nvidia website or use GeForce Experience.

If his drivers are up to date he doesn't need to reinstall drivers. As long as his drivers were updated since September 2014 the 980 will work perfectly fine. Of course, either way I recommend getting the latest drivers anyways.

I'm using geforce experience... I guess I don't need to uninstall the drivers after all...plug-and-play ftw...
