Any laptops similar to Razer blade 2016

FlicKR

So I have been looking to buy one of the razor blade 2016 but razor have been having problems delivering so I thought if there was any company like Asus, Msi, Evga or Hp that made the same kind of laptop. If know it won't b perfectly like the razor blade but the same build quality and specs. If you have something similar to that please leave a comment down below.

MSI GS series has a similiar take on the slim form factor design. I was personally steered away from anything Razer branded by a few people here. And EVGA only has 1 laptop I believe? There are alot of cheaper options than the Razer, so you'll have to look around. Clevo type custom builds might be an option if the slim form factor isn't a must have for you.

I'm still feeling my way around the options myself after being dead set on a razer only to hear all the hate they induce around these parts, lol

This. GS43 is the only decent option. I wouldn't really recommend the GS63 because god knows what MSI was thinking when they decide to put a 3 cell battery in a 15in versus a 4 cell battery in a 14in.

Literally nothing here is good.

Razer Blade if you get a "perfect" one with no issues whatsoever is barely okay. If you need to RMA it, well good luck with Razer support and their RMA system. Firstly it's going to thermal throttle. I know people who disable turbo boost and downclock to keep temps under control but then why the fuck are you getting one. And this is with a 970m. The new razer blade with a 1060 is confirmed a hot mess with 95C on the CPU during an overwatch session that's not sustained. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X_ZTSMTYdfU

As mentioned above for 14in the GS43VR is about the only decent option. If you're willing to size up, P650RS (1070) is a great pick as well.

@PSnewbie I've actually looked into the GS43VR quite intensively and it looks actually surprisingly good in terms of temps for the form factor. Have a read yourself. http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/msi-gs43.793376/ GS63 temps don't look bad either, but I still don't like it purely because MSI doesn't understand larger laptops need larger batteries. Would still wait for some stress test reviews from NBC and other review sites but it looks promising under moderate load.

Hopefully the 63 stays cool as well

I'm about 150% sure that the 63 stays cool better than the 43 (which isn't saying much but still cooler). Thing is, do you mind a 2 hour battery life on power saver?

I think that is one of the big drawbacks to the GS63.  I found a couple of reviews online last night, and the temperature issue doesn't seem to be too bad (reviewer is claiming only 76c peak during gaming, playing Overwatch....).   But in the other review, it basically lasted 2 hours tops, with battery saver on, just doing basic office tasks and web-browsing.

ugh, The sad part is I'm already used to that on my aging M6-1035DX. I just really need the number pad for quickbooks and putting sales estimates together.
