372.54 Nvdia Drivers Breaking All Games?

I just installed the new 372.54 drivers for my GTX 950 through the beta GeForce Experience, and it seems it to break both Overwatch and Minecraft upon opening. When I open Overwatch I just get hanged on a black screen for way too long, and Minecraft crashes upon opening with an error referring to old graphics drivers (Does the file below help?). If no one can help me with fixing my computer, I at least hope I can find a link to the previous driver.

Don't use beta drivers. They're usually unstable

372.54 are the new "stable" drivers for Nvdia graphics cards. When you search for Windows 10 Nvdia drivers 372.54 is the only version that pops up.

I mean the GFE version, don't use the beta. Use DDU and only install the approved versions of the drivers and GFE. If you still have an issue let us know.

Had the same issue with Doom... the intro's are causing the GFX driver as well as the game to crash it seems. I had to find the skip intro argument to call in the Steam properties to get around this issue.

 

Are you running Win 10 Anniversary Update by any chance?

EDIT* No problem signing into Doom. 980ti and Windows 10 AU using Steam.

Mmmm.... weird... gonna have to check if GFE didn't accidentally install the non A.U. drivers...

PS: 3Dmark Firestrike and Time Spy do not like these drivers...

On it. So far no problems in Fallout Shelter (don't judge me), Borderlands 2 @5k, or Unturned ether. But I'll run Firestrike.

BRO BRO BRO, here's the fix...just use the GAME READY DRIVER provided by NVIDIA through GEFORCE EXPERIENCE and call it a day!

Yours says valid driver, mine complained about the driver... guess I was too fast to testing for 3Dmark LOL...

 

Seems Win10 and Win10AU is the same driver...

wait a second...you beat me because your CPU is clocked at 4.6ghz therefore you got a higher CPU score, in the detailed results i can see i completely DESTROY you in the GRAPHICS SCORE lol

 

Also...i see your intel HD graphics 4600 is active...if you,re not using it it would be wise to disable in your bios...to save a bit of heat and power on the CPU.

Yea so far the overclock is, with +500 on the memory which I think is 10ghz memory. Alright lets see if you can

The GTX 1070 is really just the budget version of a 980ti if you think about it. You have the advantage of a better CPU but I have the advantage of a faster clock speed on my GPU.
