372.54 Nvdia Drivers Breaking All Games?

The GTX 1070 is really just the budget version of a 980ti if you think about it. You have the advantage of a better CPU but I have the advantage of a faster clock speed on my GPU.

Except for the fact that the 1070 is better?

That depends, it can be either the same or better. If u can pick up some cheap 980ti's that are cheaper than the 1070 those would be better.

Yeah I guess it just depends on the price. I'm sticking with the 1070 though because you can get the $385 Gigabyte mini and because it's a 1070 it has proper DX12 support as well as longer driver support.

Nah, 1070 has a clear advantage over the 980ti in almost every category. Only place the 980ti wins is CUDA core count.

If anyone asks you never saw me.

Yep forget that too, it has more CUDA cores

cause he got the devils canyon bro :P

intel tweaked it they added 2 extra capacitors on die and gifted him with better thermal interface material...my CPU is also 1 year older than his so intel perfected the fabrication process and got better at it...4790K overclock better than the 4770K in general. that's why :)

You're bitching about your CPU, said 290 won't go above 1200 even with 1.46V D:

i still love my CPU though...it's plenty powerful enough for my needs...for high-end 1440p gaming it's perfect...and mine can do 4.2ghz 100% stable with only 1.19V so under the 212 cooler i have i see temps in the 60-62c while gaming and 68-70c while rendering and transcoding for example...i'm fine with that :P

what about yours? what kind of number you get on it?

Agreed, mine's running 4.2GHz on a Cooler Master Seidon 120XL and never gets above 60c with rendering etc. :)

My 4670k? 4.3 GHZ is max amount I feel is safe, mostly due to temperature constraints with the 212 EVO. Its 1.265V @4.3ghz, under 100% load it hits 75C and I dont really wanna go past that. Gaming wise, its usually around 55-60c. If I had a AIO water cooler I could probably get 4.5 ghz with 1.3V

yes but i also have a 240mm watercooler...it's in the closet cause i don,t like my PC sounding like an aquarium and i can't deal with the idea of having that POS leaking all over my 980ti and stuff...you know o.O but yeah the temps were better with that but my CPU won't do 4.4ghz stable...i can get 4.3ghz with like 1.3V but at that point IMHO it's not even worth the xtra power consumption and stuff...just like the air cooler better and with the stupidly good looking withe fans with leds i have on it it's beautiful...not so much in the pictures i have on the profile but in reality it just looks stunning.

this is a while back when i had the watercooler and the old msi GTX 780 gaming

that card has a very nice EK backplate on it when i sold it...but i like my computer much better now...the 980ti strix looks amazing.

Cool, what Water cooler is that? Before I had my 1070 I had a GTX 770 EVGA SC which worked me wonders for 2 years. Yeah sometimes you gotta pump alot more juice into your CPU before it either starts getting to hot or it wont get stable unless you put a ton of voltage in the thing which is not worth it.
