Right of the bat you have an 1151 chip with an 1150 motherboard, need to get those matched up.

Well, for one, your motherboard and CPU are incompatible. A Skylake CPU needs an H110, B150 or H170/Z170 motherboard. Z97 is for Haswell chips.

Beyond that, what are you trying to accomplish with this CPU? Games? If so, which ones? What resolution? Are you ok with buying a new GPU every year or two, or do you want to just go high-end once and be done thinking about it for 4-5 years? Most importantly of all, what's your budget?

Lots of questions to be answered before you start choosing parts. I wouldn't say that any of the parts you've picked out are bad by any stretch of the imagination, but there's more thought that needs to go into the build, I think.

Aerocool DS are the best fans you've never tried.

Mistake by having 1/4th of his budget go into a monitor, get a better PC and either use a old TV or 1080p 20-23inch monitor and wait to get a good monitor.

I'm not going to do a build for you because this is your first one, and that's for you to put together yourself. :)

I will tell you that you're on the right track with a 6500 for what you want to do, and that something from the 470, 480 or 1060 line would be a good GPU to look at. Don't cheap out on your power supply--it's the one component in your system that can take everything else with it if it goes.

PCPartpicker!  Its a lifesaver for the mistakes you've made!

Also consider this:  Do you want that CPU to stick with you forever, or do you want something more powerful like an i7?  I recommend going as high as you can on the CPU because upgrading later, just wastes money for the user.

For the Best builds and Price lists here is a world where many points of the price have been predefined already for your convenience!

The Xeon E3 1231 V3 IS BETTER Than the Core i5 4690K and a Significantly better value for the non-overclockers or value shoppers.

The OS is like a kind food, Try it before saying if you like it or don't.

Looks good to me. I would do a new i5 with 16GB DDR4, Asus or Gigabyte Mobo, GTX 1060, and a silver rated PSU

you dont need much to run overwatch. give us your most intensive game you want to play otherwise you could build a cheap rig that can play overwatch.
